Vinicius Junior who was always been Ronaldo’s biggest fan, took to social media to showcase the gift from the legendary soccer player. Via his Instagram story, the Brazilian uploaded an image of a Red Soccer boot with an emoji appearing to thank Cristiano Ronaldo. The boots are likely the Nike Superfly 9 Elite Mercurial Dream Speed which comes in a light crimson color. The boot has been advertised to help players move fast on the pitch and create separation on the pitch. Considering Vinicius Junior’s play style, it seems tailor-made for him.

Also, this is not the first time Cristiano Ronaldo has presented Vinicius Junior with a gift. Previously, following his injury against Colombia in the World Cup qualifiers, the Brazilian received the ultimate cheer-up present from CR7. The former Manchester United player presented the Brazilian with his signed Portuguese Jersey worn in the clash against Liechtenstein with a touching message.

These gifts would certainly have boosted Vinicius Junior’s morale significantly, considering it is from his idol himself. Nevertheless, the Brazilian has not shied away from expressing his love for the mercurial Portuguese in the past.

Following the departure of Eden Hazard, Vinicius took up the iconic no 7 jersey. Vinicius revealed that he was inspired by Ronaldo, who marked an era at the club. The attacker also confessed that the former Juventus star was his idol. When quizzed about what he admires the most about Ronaldo, Vinicius said he admires everything ranging from his game understanding to the quality on the pitch.

The attacker even uses CR7’s celebrations as seen in the Spanish side’s victory against Liverpool. The attacker looked at the sky with eyes closed and hands on his chest. With Karim Benzema’s departure, the onus will be on the Brazilian attacker to be the talisman at the club. Based on evidence till now, he is certainly capable of it.
