What Is Bryce James’s Height? All the Information You Need to Know About the Athletic Profile of LeBron James’ Youngest Son

A good glare of the spotlight is focused on Bronny James for good reasons. James Jr. is eligible to join the 2024 NBA Draft and could join his dad to become the first-ever father-son duo in the league. But as excellent and resilient as he has been, his younger brother, Bryce, could be even better. How tall is Bryce James, and is he a better prospect than his older brother?

Who is Bryce James?

Bryce Maximus James is LeBron James’s and Savannah James’ middle child. Their other kids are LeBron James Jr, nicknamed Bronny, 19, and Zhuri, nine years old. Bryce was born on June 14, 2007, and is just 16.

Bryce is playing shooting guard for Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth after a brief stint at Campbell Hall School and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame High School. Interestingly, he played his freshman and sophomore years at Sierra Canyon High School and is now returning.

Benefiting from the popularity of his last name, Bryce is already earning money through the NIL. (NIL stands for Name, Image, and Likeness.) He is estimated to make $1.2 million through this arrangement, negotiated by Klutch Sports.

How Tall is Bryce James?

Nobody would have cared less about a 16-year-old’s height, but it’s a big deal if you’re the son of the most famous basketball player in the world and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. LeBron is not shy about his desire to play with his sons, and it would be a shame if they turn out to be not NBA material, and well, short in stature.

However, that’s not the case with his youngest son. So, what is Bryce James’ height? He now stands 6’6″, nearly three inches taller than his older brother, Bronny. If anything, he could be taller now since he was reportedly already at that height as a 15-year-old.

Bryce hit a massive growth spurt in 2022. In 2020, Bryce was about 5’4″ or 5’5″ and had grown a foot since then. Of course, he still has a lot of growing up to do vertically and in terms of filling out his frame.

There is no reason to believe he won’t be NBA material with his pedigree and connections. The mystery is whether LeBron can continue his stellar play for three more years. Around that time, Bryce will be on his way to the NBA if everything goes according to plan.

Is Bryce A Better Prospect Than Bronny?

ESPN NBA reporter Brian Windhorst stirred the pot by saying Bryce could be a better prospect than Bronny. Windhorst followed up by giving the older James the “heart and drive” criterion but handing over the “pure talent” benchmark to the younger brother. That said, is there any truth to that?

At this point, Bryce’s height is the only thing going for him. Bronny is better than Bryce at the same age. The former has been lauded for his perimeter defense and penchant for making winning plays. He has been compared to Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday in that regard. That alone could be a ticket to the next level, his last name notwithstanding.

Nevertheless, you can never bet against Bryce’s development, either. According to Adam Finkelstein of 247 Sports, Bryce “possesses clear shooting potential with naturally soft touch, compact release, and the ability to make both threes and pull-ups.”

As of December 2023, Bryce has received two college scholarship offers. The Duquesne Dukes first made their intentions known on July 31, 2023. The Ohio State Buckeyes sent their pitch in on October 9, 2023. Of course, the James gang is in no hurry to answer these offers anytime soon. He could very well end up in California when it’s time to play college basketball.

Final Words: How Tall is Bryce James?

As the youngest son of LeBron, Bryce is expected to follow in the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s footsteps. While placing that burden on the kid’s shoulders is unfair, a certain level of conjecture remains tied to that name. Physically, Bryce is getting there, thanks to a growth spurt that made him taller than his older brother, Bronny.

So, how tall is Bryce now? He is already 6’6″ at 16 years old and has a lot of growing up to do. While Bryce has an impressive physical profile summary already, Bronny is still considered a better overall player, but Bryce’s physical tools and untapped potential are something to be excited about. The basketball world will know soon enough.
