Over the years, Will Smith and Jada Smith have been remarkably candid about the challenges and hurdles they’ve encountered along the way. With so many years of marriage under their belt, it’s natural for them to have that level of openness. However, Jada Smith’s latest memoir takes things a step further, delving deep into their marriage and revealing all the intriguing details that have brewed over time. One such incident was when she and Will Smith were vacationing in Cabo San Lucas. She described how, moments after having s-x, she sensed a change within her body, immediately thinking she was pregnant.

She recalled in her memoir Worthy,

“There’s a lock that looks like a big round steering wheel,–When you turn it, it locks with a CLICK. That’s what it felt like in my womb.”

However, Will Smith didn’t believe the actress and thus challenged her by asking her to jump up and down and even to stand on her head. Taking it a step further, he then shared this incident immediately on a phone call to a friend, adding his own twist to the situation and stating, “the little ones have even stopped swimming”.

This incident left Jada Pinkett Smith extremely upset, as she cried throughout the night. The surprising twist to this tale was that her intuition was indeed correct. Two weeks later, her pregnancy tests confirmed the news, and the following year, she gave birth to Jaden Smith.

Jada Smith Didn’t Really Want to Get Married to Will Smith!

On multiple occasions, the actress has openly admitted that she entered into a marriage with the Hollywood star due to her mother’s insistence, who wanted them to avoid having a child out of wedlock. On her talk show, Red Table Talk, she stated,

“It was almost as if Gammy was like, you have to get married–I was under so much pressure being a young actress — being young, pregnant, I was just like, I didn’t know what to do. But I knew I never wanted to be married.”

On the other hand, Will Smith desperately wanted to get married and have a family. As he revealed,

“There wasn’t a day in my life that I wanted anything other than being married and having a family,–Literally five years old, I was picturing what my family would be.”

Jada Pinkett Smith’s mother revealed on the red round table,

“The wedding was horrible. Jada was sick. She was very unpleasant. She didn’t cooperate with anything at the wedding.”

The actress then shared her opinion on marriage stating,

“I just never really agreed with the construct [of marriage]. I just don’t agree with it,–I never have. I still don’t. ‘Til death do us part is real for me, but all the rules and all of the ideas and what you can’t do because of this title ‘wife’ is a very difficult  the accepted conventional definition of wife and the paradigm, I’m not that.”

Jada Smith recently disclosed that the couple had, in fact, been living separate lives for nearly seven years without anyone knowing about it.
