Lionel Messi posted a workout picture to his Instagram story alongside wife Antonela.

Messi has been adjusting to his life in Miami ever since moving there over the summer.

He’ll be in for a long season – with over 40 matches planned for Inter Miami alone.

That’s also not including any games the team plays in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup  (where Miami will enter in the fourth round) or the Leagues Cup.

Of course, Messi will not be playing in all of those games – because there’s also a Copa America to contend with this year.

Argentina is looking to defend its title as kings of South America this summer in the United States.

All of this is to say that the 36-year-old forward will need to be in peak physical condition in order to stay healthy and at the top of his game.

Last season, Messi played the final half of his season with PSG and then almost immediately jumped over to Miami halfway through theirs.

He’ll have been off for about a month before this new season begins.
