Iranian-American businessman Patrick Bet-David said his villa in Miami has increased in price to 25 million USD (equivalent to 20 million pounds) thanks to being located next to the mansion of superstar Lionel Messi.
Messi accidentally helped his neighbor’s villa increase in price sharply
Last September, Messi spent 8.6 million pounds to buy a new villa in Fort Lauderdale. Previously, “M10” and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo had 3 other villas in the land of flowers. By this time, the 36-year-old superstar and his wife had real estate worth 15 million pounds in the country.
As revealed by Forbes magazine, Messi’s villa in Fort Lauderdale has an area of 975 m2, including 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, garage for 3 cars and 1 swimming pool. In addition, it also has a spa room, gym and 2 boat docks.

The special thing is that the villa that Messi just bought is located near Inter Miami’s DRV PNK stadium. The property tax cost on the house is £67,000/year.
The newly purchased villa will be the main residence of Messi and his wife and their three children Ciro, Thiago and Mateo for more than 2 years, because “M10” still has a contract with Inter Miami until the end of December 2025. This contract helps him earn a salary of 40-48 million pounds/year.
Since Messi’s family moved to Fort Lauderdale, this area has attracted a lot of attention and the number of visitors has increased dramatically. Thanks to that, real estate prices in this area also increased dramatically.

Messi just moved right next to my house. Everyone wants to join our community. It’s a gated community on an island with only one road to take, very safe and heavily guarded.
Now that Messi is there, people will come on their boats to see the houses. We’re fine. Messi will probably rest in a luxury villa because MLS is still on winter break.”
