They could be twins! Co-stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer sport matching beards at photo call for The Man from U.N.C.L.E. in Rome

The were inseparable on the set of their new movie, and now they are mirroring each other’s mustachioed look.

Actors Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer sported matching facial hair on Saturday, as they took a welcome break from filming in the Italian capital.

The pair have been busy working on spy thriller The Man from U.N.C.L.E., while taking the opportunity to enjoy the location in beautiful Rome.

Beardy brothers: Both Henry Cavill (right) and Armie Hammer (left) looked incredibly suave as they posed at the photo call for The Man From U.N.C.L.E in Rome in Saturday, with their matching beards

The Hollywood gents both looked suave in their suits, with Brit actor Henry going for a bright summer look in a double-breasted maroon blazer, dark brown suede loafers and light yellow trousers.

US star Armie contrasted his light look in a black suit, bold blue shirt and smart leather brogues.

And it seems the co-stars and friends have taken rather manly styling tips from each other, as they looked almost interchangeable thanks to their full heads of hair and very heavy facial fuzz, complete with moustaches.

They’re both more recognisable without the beards, as they each rose to fame with smooth-faced appearances… but it’s fair to say it’s a stylish look that suits them both well.

They could be brothers: Was Henry – with his full beard and springy head of hair – the inspiration for the look?

Lookalike gent: Armie proved he’s got just as much charisma as his co-star as he posed in front of the glorious Rome backdrop… complete with full face of fur

Henry, 32, who is best known for his Superman role in Man Of Steele, is playing CIA agent Napoleon Solo in the remake.

The lead role was originally pencilled in for George Clooney, but the actor was forced to walk away from the role due to a recurring back injury.

Armie, 28, who previously took on the double challenge of playing the handsome Winklevoss twins in film The Social Network, plays KGB operative Illya Kuryakin.

The good looking pair weren’t even born when the original The Man from U.N.C.L.E. show aired on NBC in the 1960s with American actor Robert Vaughn, and Scottish actor David McCallum in the staring roles.

Armie admitted he hadn’t watched the original version as he wanted to make something fresh and fun in contrast to what he felt was the dated original.

The boys also said their chemistry on set was really strong, and once they were together there was no splitting them up, a little like Velcro.

Capital of romance: The boys also said their chemistry on set was really strong, and once they were together there was no splitting them up, a little like Velcro

Beautiful in black and white: Australian Actress Elizabeth Debicki plays Victoria Vinciguerra in the remake of the film

Feeling blue: Italian Actor Luca Calvani who plays Alexander in the film was also following the beard trend

British director Guy Ritchie  – who is currently also showing off a rather impressive beard himself – is behind the camera for the remake, which is based on the TV show of the same name that ran for four seasons.

The film was due to be released in January of this year, but has now been pushed back to August by Warner Bros.

Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, the film also features Hugh Grant, Alicia Vikander and Jared Harris in its supporting cast.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is in UK cinemas on August 14, 2015

A handsome cast and crew: (from left) Italian actor Luca Calvani, US actor Armie Hammer, Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, British producer Lionel Wigram, Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, British director Guy Ritchie and British actor Henry Cavil

Hands up: The original The Man from U.N.C.L.E. show aired on NBC in the 1960s with American actor Robert Vaughn, and Scottish actor David McCallum in the staring roles
