Inter Miami’s 2024 will be exciting.
After failing to make the playoffs in 2023, the Herons are laying the foundation to make sure they don’t repeat the same mistakes.
“We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” Inter Miami Sporting Director Chris Henderson stated.
“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”
Already, Miami has signed Luis Suarez and are currently in talks to bring wing back Julian Gressel to the club.
The anticipation for this season is high. It’s even gotten to a point where Inter Miami games are getting shifted to NFL Stadiums.
Inter Miami to play Sporting KC at Arrowhead Stadium
On January 8th, Sporting Kansas City announced that they’ll be moving their April 13th game against Inter Miami to Arrowhead Stadium.
This decision comes months before the Herons are set to take on the Western Conference side.
“This match has generated an unprecedented amount of interest since Major League Soccer released our schedule less than three weeks ago,” said SKC president Jake Reid.
“We believe this will be the biggest event in Kansas City this spring and we are proud to partner with Arrowhead Events to provide an incredible experience for our fans and our team.”
Sporting KC is the first opposition team to announce that they’ll be moving its game away to a larger stadium.
Though no concrete rumor exists regarding other teams doing the same, it’s likely only a matter of time.
Inter Miami is set to kick off its 2024 season against Real Salt Lake at home on February 21st.
