Lewis Hamilton sports £1,700 silk outfit at the Formula One French Grand Prix

He’s known just as much for his fashion sense as his sporting prowess.

And Lewis Hamilton looked effortlessly cool as he walked the circuit at the Formula One French Grand Prix, in Le Castellet, France on Friday.

The British racing car driver, 36, sported a burgundy silk varsity jacket by American  label Nahmias, retailing for £1,359, teamed with matching sweatpants at £359.

He also wore a white face mask and tied his hair into a ponytail.

Lewis appeared relaxed and at ease, holding onto his iPhone as he walked around the circuit prior to practice with a member of the Mercedes F1 team.

Lewis recently told DAZN: ‘I want to be the best. In everything I do, I want to be. I would love to act one day, but I am very conscientious. I like to learn step by step.

‘I had opportunities and I know that I need time to prepare myself, because I want to be the best. In everything I do, I want to be. To do the best I can.

He added: ‘If I’m going to make a movie, I’ll go to class, study, and make sure I express my emotions as I should.’
