Roronoa Zoro is an incredible user of haki in One Piece.
Zoro is, by far, one of the very best Haki users in One Piece. He is the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates and, through him, fans have seen some of the most incredible sword battles in the story. Zoro wants to become the World’s Greatest Swordsman, and to do that, he has to improve his Haki tremendously.
In the New World, Zoro has had many amazing battles, and in those battles, he has gotten the opportunity to demonstrate what he can do with his Haki. While Zoro has utilized Haki on many occasions, only a few stand out as his best moments while using this ability.
5. Using Armament Haki To Cut Pica
Arc: Dressrosa
Armament Haki is an incredible ability that Zoro has utilized in One Piece on many occasions. The first time Zoro used this ability properly came in the Dressrosa arc, where he fought against Pica, one of the Officers of the Donquixote Pirates. Of course, this battle was an elaborate one for Zoro and, back then, he wasn’t all that strong.
Despite that, Zoro was able to utilize his Haki in great ways in the battle. Using his powerful techniques, he was able to carve up the giant statues of Pics, which in itself is a great feat. He also used his Haki to cut through Pica, who had coated his entire body in Haki. It is quite clearly one of the best Zoro Haki feats that fans have seen in One Piece.
4. Using Armament Haki To Defend From A Life Threatening Explosion
Arc: Wano Country
In the Wano Country arc, Zoro fought against King in an extended battle that was extremely difficult for him. This battle could have seen Zoro dying on many occasions, and on one such occasion, King caused an explosion at point-blank range.
Zoro had to put up his Haki to defend himself, and had his Haki not been strong enough, he would have died. Zoro himself confirmed that his attack was strong enough to completely kill him and had he not put up his Haki in time, he would have not been alive to tell the tale. This was a feat that many might ignore, however, it was certainly great, especially since it showed how far Zoro’s Haki had come in the post-timeskip of the story.
3. Master Enma To A Degree
Arc: Wano Country
Mastering Enma is quite a difficult skill for anyone and Zoro isn’t an exception. Only Kozuki Oden had truly mastered this blade and that remains true even today. While Zoro had some difficulty getting used to this blade at first, in the fight against King, he learned to somewhat control it.
By allowing it to drain his Haki unregulated, Zoro was able to bring out his Conqueror’s and Armament Haki to the best of his ability. However, this power-up only lasts for short periods for Zoro, and being in elaborate fights can lead to his death. Nonetheless, mastering Enma, a blade that drains Ryuo, is an amazing feat for Zoro.
2. Combining Conqueror’s Haki With Kitsunebi Ryu To Beat King
Arc: Wano Country
Zoro defeated King in his final fight in the Wano Country Arc and it was certainly a spectacle for the fans. To defeat King, Zoro had to bring out the best of his Armament and Conqueror’s Haki. By coating all three of his swords, Zoro utilized a new technique, called 103 Mercies: Dragon Damnation.
This attack is quite clearly one of Zoro’s very best Haki feats. This is because it sees Zoro combine the full power of his Armament and Conqueror’s Haki with the Kitsunebi Ryu that he stole from Kin’emon. Using this technique, Zoro was able to cut through King’s fire-based abilities and slice him across the chest so dangerously that he could not do anything about it. Zoro even clipped one of his wings using this technique.
1. Using Conqueror’s Haki To Scar Kaido
Arc: Wano Country
Of course, one of the greatest Haki feats that Zoro has displayed in One Piece so far is scarring Kaido on his chest. Zoro utilized the incredible nine-sword style to bring out the best of his ability, and unbeknownst to him, he infused Conqueror’s Haki in this attack. When Zoro launched Moja no Tawamure on Kaido, he was able to overwhelm him temporarily and even slice him across the chest.
The scar that Oden had given Kaido was extended in one direction and Kaido himself considered it to be a great feat for Zoro. Kaido praised Zoro for accomplishing this, however, the Straw Hat swordsman had no idea what he had done. Regardless, this is one of the greatest feats that Zoro has accomplished, and when it comes to Haki, this is his greatest feat so far.
