Ariana DeBose shared the backstory of a bathroom selfie with Emma Stone on Thursday while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.

Jimmy, 49, after asking Ariana, 32, about her awards season experience that included a joke at her expense showed a selfie she took with Emma, 35, in a bathroom at the Governors Awards.

Ariana laughed while taking the picture as Emma looked up smiling from below her waist with bathroom stalls in the background.

‘Yeah, the Governors Awards. We just, you know, connected in a bathroom. It was great,’ said Ariana who looked lovely in a little black dress.

‘No, no, no, in all seriousness. We became friends recently and finally got to meet in person. And I was like, ”We have to commemorate this.” And she said, ”I shall wrap myself in your skirt.” And I took a picture of it, so there you go,’ Ariana said.

Ariana shared the photo on Instagram and wrote in the caption, ‘Sister. Comrade. Will explain in the memoir I write in 50 years. Congratulations #EmmaStone on your @criticschoice Award!’

Bella Ramsey, 20, while presenting an award at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday lumped Ariana into a joke about ‘actors who think they are singers’ that clearly hurt her feelings.

Ariana afterward posted on social media that she didn’t think the joke was funny, but soon put it behind her.

She hugged it out with Bella on Monday at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

Ariana isn’t holding a grudge against Bella despite being left ‘deeply offended’ by the joke, an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com.

‘Traditionally, I love them. I like to celebrate,’ Ariana said.

She added, ‘Well, I mean, I love this industry I like the entertainment industry and I think what we do is kind of a miracle we’re coming out of a strike, you know what I mean.’

Ariana was on the NBC talk show to promote her new sci-fi thriller movie I.S.S. that follows a group of US astronauts and Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station when a worldwide war breaks out on Earth

‘And I think we’re all probably still recovering from Covid. So I think getting anything accomplished is a miracle. So being able to celebrate that and focus on it is a great thing,’ she said.

Ariana was on the NBC talk show to promote her new sci-fi thriller movie I.S.S. that follows a group of US astronauts and Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station when a worldwide war breaks out on Earth.

The film also stars Chris Messina, John Gallagher Jr., Maria Mashkova, Costa Ronin and Pilou Asbæk.

I.S.S. premiered in June at the Tribeca Film Festival and was being released on Friday in theaters.
