If Travis Kelce’s Chiefs don’t make it to the big game, Taylor Swift, the winner of the Super Bowl, worries.

Taylor Swift and the NFL have become unlikely partners in recent months after she went public with her American footballer boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Swift has had the cameras on her nonstop every time she’s attended a Kansas City Chiefs game to watch her man.

It’s been a dream pairing for NFL bosses, with Kelce being one of the greatest tight ends in the game’s history while playing for one of the great dynasties in the modern game.

But their public romance has had its fair share of grumpy reactions from social media trolls, with some calling it a ‘distraction’ and not why people tune in to watch the sport.

And it’s a form of attack that one Super Bowl winner thinks could get nasty if the Chiefs don’t make it to the big game.

Kelce and his teammates are one game away from a return after winning in 2019 and 2022.

And it’s looking to be pretty costly – seats behind the posts will set you back around $9,000, while those on the halfway line will cost an eye-watering $53,500.

To get to the big game, the Chiefs will have to beat the best team in the competition, the Baltimore Ravens.

It’s a big ask.

NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre, who won the Super Bowl in 1996 with the Green Bay Packers, has now said there could be a grim reaction if the Chiefs fall one step before the season’s final game.

Speaking to TMZ, he said: “I think it’ll be a distraction if they don’t make it to the Super Bowl.

“If they don’t win it or get to the Super Bowl, people are going to say, ‘that’s why’.”

But he doesn’t think that’ll be case, as he’s backed the Chiefs to win the Lombardi Trophy once again.

He said: “Until someone proves me otherwise, I think they’ll go all the way.

“Until [Chiefs head coach] Andy Reid is unseated as the champion, I have to see it to believe it.”

Even if the Chiefs get to the Super Bowl, it’s not guaranteed Taylor will be present to cheer on her other half.

The pop star will be performing the last show in her Japanese leg of The Eras Tour the day before the big game.

A flight from Japan to Vegas is a minimum of 11 and a bit hours, and that’s flying direct which most commercial airlines don’t do.

Given she has the money to fly private, she might be in the best position you could be to enjoy the showcase.
