Real Madrid ready to offer veteran defender a one-year contract extension

It is no secret that Dani Carvajal is an important member of Carlo Ancelotti’s XI at Real Madrid and since his contract is expiring in 2025, journalist Jose Felix Diaz has affirmed via MARCA that the team from the Spanish capital is willing to reward him with a one-year extension.

Despite being 32 years of age, Carvajal has been Ancelotti’s first-choice right-back. Not only that, but the Spaniard is one of the first players in the manager’s starting XI and this is made evident by the fact that despite being injured, he has played 16 matches in La Liga, clocking more than 1300 minutes.

Carvajal is valued at Real Madrid

Carvajal’s contract will end in 2025 and it is to be noted that he has spent almost his entire career with Real Madrid, except for one season at Bayer Leverkusen.

Even though he’ll be 34 years old in 2026, Real Madrid has already decided to offer him a new contract before his current one ends as the team has complete trust in his skills and contributions.

Everyone in the team is sure about Carvajal’s importance. The entire coaching staff believes he has become a crucial player for the team, often seen as the heart of Ancelotti’s starting lineup.

In the upcoming weeks, Real Madrid’s leaders will discuss extending Carvajal’s contract as they are thinking of offering him one more season initially, with the possibility of more if he continues to perform well.

This is a customary practice for experienced players at Real Madrid, as the team’s recent history has shown.

Real Madrid are confident in Carvajal, but that doesn’t mean they’re just sitting around. They’re thinking about what to do with Lucas Vazquez, whose contract ends in June.

Before deciding, the team is carefully looking at the market and assessing their players. They might need to strengthen both sides in the future and consider signing a top player. It depends on the emergencies and the current situation of the team and players.
