Chelsea have already identified their top target for the summer.
Chelsea were quiet in the January transfer window, but it looks like they could make some real noise in the next one.
According to journalist Alex Crook, who has been speaking to GiveMeSport, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is at the top of their shopping list.
The 25-year-old is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations, helping Nigeria to reach the semi-finals.
He has played in all five of his country’s games and scored one goal, which came in a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in the group stages.
Victor Osimhen at the top of Chelsea’s list
Crook was discussing Chelsea’s decision not to sign a new striker in the last transfer window and their plans for the summer, which involves Osimhen.
“A move for Karim Benzema was a non-starter and Osimhen obviously signed a new contract, but he is definitely top of Chelsea’s list for the summer,” the talkSPORT reporter said.

Why is Victor Osimhen at the top of Chelsea’s list?
Chelsea need to sign a new centre-forward and Osimhen is one of the best in the world, so it is only logical that he is their No.1 target.
At 22, the Blues’ first-choice No.9 Nicolas Jackson is still a bit raw, whereas Osimhen has really established himself in the game over the last few seasons.
Last term, the Nigeria international, who has been described as a “world-class striker” by AS Monaco’s Folarin Balogun, scored 31 goals in 39 appearances.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Osimhen has already chosen to join Chelsea, so it looks like the Blues could really be getting their dream target at the end of the season.
