The It-girls have been scouring vintage treasure troves to top up their summer wardrobes. One-off pieces from Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana and more are taking centre stage on Instagram, proving that this summer is all about archive fashion.

Reigning queen of vintage, Rihanna, is taking advantage of the glorious weather – and her date nights with A$AP Rocky – to make the most of her pre-loved designer pieces. Recent highlights include a skimpy D&G lace cami, a barely-there pink Dior spring/summer 2002 slip, and a fringed Fendi dress. She typically tops off her outfits with yet more vintage, in the shape of accessories from Eleuteri, Dior, Fendi, Versace and David Yurman.

Hailey Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo have both visited LA-based Aralda Vintage in search of fashion treasure. Rodrigo cherry-picked a sweet plaid skirt suit from Chanel’s spring/summer 1995 showcase, which she styled with a Noughties-era Chanel logo charm belt for a high-profile visit to the White House. Bieber, meanwhile, managed to get her hands on a silky printed Dolce dress, which she wore on holiday with her husband Justin. “It wasn’t in the shop for long but it was beloved,” the team at Aralda said of the dress on Instagram.
