Anthony Joshua shows off incredible physique and fans believe he has avoided Tyson Fury mistake for Francis Ngannou fight

Fans believe Anthony Joshua has not overlooked Francis Ngannou as he showed off his impressive physique.

AJ has always been known to be in imperious shape during his career, as has his opponent, including for his boxing debut against Tyson Fury last year.

The pair posed for the cameras in Riyadh with fight week proceedings getting underway after intense training camps.

Former two-time champion Joshua was pictured in sensational shape, with muscular arms and a ripped six-pack.

Equally, Ngannou attended the final shoot and also looked in sensational form, even slightly bigger than his rival.

But fans believe AJ’s shape is a sign he’s taking the fight incredibly seriously, with one writing: “Anthony Joshua is not overlooking Ngannou, the same way Tyson Fury did.”

A second fan agreed: “Yep. He is ripped to shreds.”

One fan predicted: “This fight doesn’t go past six rounds. AJ wins.”

Another added: “Brother you look scary. Ngannou, be scared!”

One was more optimistic for Ngannou, suggesting: “One of two outcomes. Joshua boxes his head off and wins on points or Ngannou lands a lucky punch and wins by knockout.”

A final fan boldly concluded: “We are about to see the best AJ yet.”

It was suggested by many from inside Fury’s camp including his father John, that the ‘Gypsy King’ hadn’t prepared to his best ability for the fight.

This was something that Fury’s promoter Frank Warren came out to deny, insisting that credit must be placed upon Ngannou’s shoulders.

Joshua will have the pressure on his shoulders against the ex-UFC champion, with a shot at the undisputed titles potentially lying in wait.

But his promoter Eddie Hearn believes he is in a great place going to the fight.

He said: “I am a bit nervous. On paper AJ should be going through Ngannou, but we saw what he did to Fury in that fight.

“Ngannou had him down in that fight, I felt like he won it. He’s a very strong man, can definitely punch and isn’t afraid and I’m sure there will be some hairy moments in the fight.

“But AJ looks fantastic, and I am looking forward to another dominant victory from him.”
