Francis Ngannou requested that his new contract with UFC include a boxing clause, wanting to compete with Tyson Fury

UFC champion Francis Ngannou has not yet given up the idea of entering the British boxing ring.

At this time, Francis Ngannou is still in the process of negotiating a contract with UFC. In addition to the remuneration issue that needs to be agreed upon, the heavyweight champion also wants to attach a clause allowing boxing matches in the new contract with the world’s largest MMA tournament.

“Boxing is still one of my goals. That will happen even if I am playing in the UFC. We have negotiated a new contract. The boxing clause is a must. Because , I don’t think I will retire without boxing,” Ngannou said.

“I want to fight all of them. I want to challenge big names like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. MMA and boxing are different but I am the champion, the number one in the weight class. After all, everyone It’s still just a matter of throwing punches. I’m sure my punches are very good and can make it difficult for them.”

After a tense period, the relationship between Ngannou and the UFC showed signs of cooling down. A few days ago, Chairman Dana White admitted that the negotiation process was progressing well. Ngannou’s representative Marquel Martin also expressed his desire for the domestic chicken to stay in the tournament. “We are open to closing the deal. If they have a good offer, we are ready to respond.”
