The heavyweight champions of boxing and MMA traded blows for 12 rounds in a thrilling and controversial bout. Fury used his superior boxing skills and movement to outpoint Ngannou, while Ngannou landed some powerful shots that rocked Fury several times. The judges scored the fight 115-113, 114-114, and 115-113 for Fury, who retained his WBC and Ring magazine titles. Ngannou disputed the decision and called for a rematch.
