Tyson Fury’s latest training footage has led to fans to express their concern for his heavyweight rival Oleksandr Usyk.

The ‘Gypsy King’ will take on the biggest challenge of his career when he faces the unbeaten Ukrainian for the undisputed crown on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

Fury admitted he wasn’t himself when he fought Francis Ngannou last time out, recovering from a knockdown to earn a narrow points win.

But he has since returned to training camp and is looking to rectify his mistakes in his bid to become the first undisputed heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

On Tuesday, the WBC king released footage of himself working the pads in his gym, as he has began to step up preparations into a full training camp.

He looked sharp hitting swift combinations on the mitts, while bouncing around the ring with some neat footwork.

Fury also looks in incredible shape, with fans warning Usyk that he could be in for a long night.

One posted: “No one’s beating this version of Fury. He looks seriously fast.”

Another agreed, stating: “There’s no way Usyk will beat focused Fury.”

A fan added: “6’9 moving like a cruiserweight is wild.”

Fury looks in promising shape for his huge undisputed tilt

One was more impressed than before, writing: “That’s more like it, solid work!”

Another agreed with the comparison, messaging: “Looking in very good condition and taking this as seriously as it needs to be.

‘Moving like a cruiserweight’ – Fans worry for Oleksandr Usyk after Tyson Fury posts new training footage

“Night and day the differences between last October and now. Good signs for May. The biggest fight in heavyweight boxing since 1999.”

But one viewer disagreed, concluding: “Fury looks out of shape, fat and maybe washed due to his size.

“It is still 50-50, but if Fury somehow wins this victory will be up there with his win over Wladimir Klitschko.”

This is a vastly different opinion to Fury’s last strength drill training footage, where fans unanimously agreed he looked ‘awful’.

But the 35-year-old knows he will have to be at his peak on the night, and is determined to deliver a historic performance.

A win is likely to be followed by a rematch, but he will know a potential Battle of Britain clash with Anthony Joshua is set to lay in wait.
