Stephen Curry has been on a streak of lack of calls during the game. ‘The Chef’ and the Warriors are 10th in the Western Conference, as their probable seed will remain the same by the end of the season.

In recent games that would’ve decided the Warriors’ seed in the West, there were multiple instances where Curry did not get foul calls. He is a threat from a distance, though, despite all the struggles, Steph’s free-throw attempts haven’t been the same.

A recent stat line highlighted this, Steph’s lowest free-throw attempts per game throughout his career. These attempts are all valid till Curry is putting up 30+ points per game. To put it into perspective, the ‘Baby-Faced Assassin’ has averaged 30+ points on multiple stretches, but some of these stretches are just unfortunate in terms of the work Steph puts in each game.

During his second MVP season, Stephen Curry averaged 4.8 free-throw attempts while also scoring 36.7 points each night. In the recent game against the Houston Rockets, Curry celebrated the foul call after he tried to go between two defenders.

The frustration behind his current phase, shooting less than three free throws per game, is real. After finally getting a call that Steph wouldn’t usually get, his reaction said it all.

Stephen Curry has struggled the most this season

Curry has now played over 70 games this season. The last time he played more than 70 games was back in the 2016-17 season. The Warriors era of Steph, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson is down to its last run. Curry’s performance hasn’t seen a downfall as he continues to dominate. Meanwhile, his splash brother has been struggling from beyond the arc.

Putting the team on his shoulders, Curry has done the most this season. Now in the Play-In tournament, the Warriors have a rough path to make the playoffs. Going into the Play-In the Dubs will have to make the best use of their lineup, as the team lacks big men.

Kevon Looney, who played the role of a big man earlier, now has a diminished role on the team. One of the main reasons behind the second-round exit last year was the lack of size in the paint. The Play-In is due next week.
