Coach Prime’s Another Classic Shoe Set to Make a Comeback After LeBron James’ Approval for ’96 Retro Sneakers

Coach Prime is a legend on and off the field, and one of his biggest partnerships is a deal with Nike. The collaboration has paved the way for the signature Nike Air Diamond Turf shoes, with the first being Air Diamond Turf, launched in 1993. The subsequent releases include the Air Diamond Turf 2 in ’94, the DT Max in ’96, the Air DT 4 in ’97, and the Air DT 5 in ’98.

That said, Nike shoe enthusiasts can buckle up for the upcoming release next spring. And if you’re a fan of Deion Sanders or the San Francisco 49ers, you would like to watch this. Something special is coming as Coach Prime isn’t about to let his partnership with the $143 billion worth of brand go to waste.

Deion Sanders is set to release an updated version of Nike Air Diamond Turf 49ers in 2025

NBA legend LeBron James regards Deion Sanders as one of his childhood heroes, and his admiration spans beyond sports. During the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, he wore the LeBron 21 shoes inspired by Coach Prime’s re-released Nike Air DT Max ’96. Following this endorsement, Deion Sanders has found new inspiration. The wait is almost over after a series of multiple Air DT Max ’96s releases. In a post uploaded by Nice Kicks on X on April 21, another interesting release is teased with the post reading, “Deion Sanders’ “49ers” Nike Air Diamond Turf is set to return Spring 2025.”

One reason that makes the Nike Air Diamond Turf 49ers a favorite is the way it features the original design with a strap across the forefoot featuring Swoosh. It has a classic white and black combo for the upper while a vibrant 49ers red accent laces through the sneaker. The shoe also features a comfortable black and white midsole with a tri-color outsole. This highly anticipated release will be available through Nike and prime retailers in-store and online at $150. This version is a follow-up of Coach Prime’s Air DT Max ’96 retro.

Before the wait until next spring, fans can still get their hands on the Nike Air DT Max ’96, which will be available in the summer. In a January post, Deion Sanders confirmed that this beloved version will return this year. He even teased the public by wearing an upgraded ZoomX cushioning shoe.

So gear up to secure your pair before the limited edition of the Nike Air DT Max ’96 is gone. But stay tuned as the release date is yet to be revealed. As for the Nike Air DT 49ers, the actual release date is also a mystery.
