As the 2023-24 season nears the halfway mark, plenty of French forwards are clicking this campaign. Furthermore, the runners-up are more than just Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé.
However, the 24-year-old does lead the way in a crucial offensive stat among French players.
Kylian Mbappé leads all French players in goal involvements
OptaJean highlighted that Mbappé leads the way in goal involvements for French players in Europe’s top five leagues. The Paris Saint-Germain star has 17 (15 goals, two assists) so far this season. Right behind him is Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram, who has 11 (five goals and six assists).
Rounding out the rest are Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann with his 10 (nine goals and one assist) and AC Milan’s Olivier Giroud, who also has 10 goals and three assists).
