Pro Bowl snubs: Mahomes and Hurts left out of current leaders.LAPRESSE

In a surprising turn of events, NFL fans were left bewildered as the Pro Bowl voting results for the 2024 season were unveiled, and two prominent stars found themselves conspicuously absent.

Notably, Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Philadelphia Eagles sensation Jalen Hurts failed to secure spots on the list, raising eyebrows across the football community.

Leading the pack in Pro Bowl votes is Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, amassing an impressive 59,680 votes. Following closely is Houston rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud with 44,095 votes.

San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey (43,331), Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill (39,928) and Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce (38,720) round out the top five.

Social media were quick to response

Social media erupted with fans expressing their shock and discontent at the absence of Mahomes, who led the Chiefs to a division-leading 8-4 record with 3,127 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.

Eagles supporters were equally dismayed as Hurts, with 2,995 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, ten interceptions, and an impressive 10 touchdowns on the ground, found himself left out of the Pro Bowl vote.

While some lauded Tagovailoa for his outstanding season, others criticized the Pro Bowl selection process, calling it a “joke” and questioning the absence of Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes snubbed,” one fan pointed, while other complained: “Ridiculous…Pro Bowl is a joke, man. Where’s Mahomes?”

Aside the Chiefs star defenders, Tagovailoa found some praise: Tagovailoa deserves it, he’s been amazing this season. Stroud is good too, but not as consistent,” someone stated. Tua is killing it this season! He deserves to be in the Pro Bowl Game,” asserted someone else as a third fan declared: Tua is going to win MVP.”

Not everything is lost for mahomes and Hurts

Despite the snubs, both Mahomes and Hurts still have some hope as the poll is merely begining, hinting at the fierce competition for Pro Bowl recognition.

As the race unfolds, fans are eager to see if these dynamic quarterbacks can secure their spots in the much-anticipated 2024 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando.
