He was draped in Louis Vuitton attire that totaled over $28,000.
The outfit started with $1,250 pants to the $1,220 LV checker derby kicks.
James added a $5,000 camouflage tweed chic collarless jacket on top of the two pieces.
However, the accessories were the most expensive part of his outfit as he came in with multiple bags draped around him.
The Speedy Bandouliere 40 he carried has an $11,000 price tag and the briefcase added yet another $9,500.
The pieces James wore to the opening game come from rapper and producer Pharrell Williams’ men’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection.
Pharrell was named Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director in February and debuted his first collection in the summer.
James is one of the first to wear the pieces, as pre-orders for them don’t open until December.
Around the league, others made sure to make their fashion sense known as well.
Michael Porter Jr. showed up in a signed Peyton Manning jersey for his Nuggets’ game against the Lakers.
Peyton Watson also appeared in signed gear with a Deion Sanders jersey.
Aaron Gordon made an interesting choice, arriving in burgundy shorts and a sleeveless blazer.
The Lakers dropped their opening game against the Nuggets 107-119.
They will take on the 1-0 Phoenix Sun next on October 26.
