He may be in the middle of his bid for yet another Formula One championship title.

But Lewis Hamilton has been taking some time to enjoy the finer things in life, and on Thursday the sports star was living the high life aboard a yacht in St Tropez, France.

Firmly easing himself into the yacht-set lifestyle, the 31-year-old star appeared to be making the most of his downtime before the Hungarian Grand Prix as he cosied up to a brunette beauty.

Heading to the Cote d’Azur for a spot of R&R, Lewis looked to be familiar with the pace of life on the waves, and made sure to spend some quality time with his stunning companion.

Clambering up onto a raised platform on the vessel, the tattooed Mercedes Petronas driver looked keen to be away from the rest of the party on the boat.

Hoisting the leggy beauty up, with the help of a friend, the driver was soon chatting away to his companion, as the pair put on a tactile display.

Clad in a plunging pink swimsuit, Lewis’ companion wasn’t afraid to show some skin or an ample amount of cleavage.

Wearing her long chestnut locks tied back in a ponytail, it wasn’t long before she relaxed and left her tresses to tumble freely around her shoulders.

Accessorising her look with a pair of oval sunglasses, the brunette beauty added a pair of earrings and a watch to her look.

The three-time F1 champion finished his look off with a black cap and a pair of sunglasses, whilst he also sported the usual smattering of bling.

Lewis has been documenting his stay on the yacht via his Instagram page, and shared a number of stylised shots of his days aboard with his 3.1million followers.

But never one to shirk his duties, it seemed winning in Hungary was still on his mind, as he captioned one shot:

‘Good morning from St. Tropez… Chilling today before the weekend in Hungary!’
