Minttu, wife of Kimi Raikkonen, advised racing driver Hamilton to take up ballet instead of F1 racing.
Raikkonen’s wife wrote on her personal page: “If someone cries like a little girl after losing, it’s better to go to ballet”.
On the Silverstone racetrack, England on July 8, Hamilton collided with Raikkonen on the starting lap. The incident caused the Mercedes driver to only finish second behind Sebastian Vettel. In the end, Hamilton’s gap was widened to 8 points by Vettel in the championship race. After the race ended, Hamilton bitterly hinted that Ferrari used “interesting tactics” to help Vettel finish first.
Discontent about “blasphemous” of Hamilton, Minttu Raikkonen responded. “My husband doesn’t do that, this is racing,”, she asserted. Raikkonen was also penalized 10 seconds for the collision with Hamilton and publicly admitted his fault.
On July 9, Hamilton apologized on Instagram for his post-race statement. “Kimi said sorry and everything was forgiven. Sometimes we cannot avoid saying stupid things. Really, it was just an accident on the track,” the British racer said.
The 2018 Formula 1 race just ended the 10th Grand Prix out of 21 races. Vettel is temporarily holding the first position in the rankings with 171 points, followed by Hamilton with 163 points. Raikkonen ranked third with 116 points.
