10 One Piece Devil Fruits That Would Be Perfect For Vice Admiral Garp

Admiral Garp is one of the powerful characters in One Piece, and Devil Fruits like the Press-Press and Twinkle-Twinkle would make him even stronger.

Monkey D. Garp is a legendary One Piece Marine who fought other legendary figures like Gol D. Roger and Rocks D. Xebec when they were both in their primes. He is now in his late 70s, which means that his physical abilities have diminished, but he is still considered one of the strongest characters in One Piece. A number of Marines possess Devil Fruit powers, but Garp is not one of them, which is unfortunate because there are Devil Fruits that would be perfect for him.

Garp could have become a Marine Admiral at any time, but he refused every promotion because he does not want to work with the World Nobles directly. He can use all three types of Haki, and he is one of the few people in the world who can imbue his attacks with advanced Conqueror’s Haki.

10. The Press-Press Fruit Would Force Garp’s Opponents To The Ground

The Press-Press Fruit was introduced during One Piece’s Dressrosa Arc, and if used properly, it can destroy an entire island. This Paramecia-type Devil Fruit gives its user the ability to create and manipulate gravitational forces. If the user wanted to, they can use this power to pull meteors down from space.

If Garp had this power, he could use gravity to pin his targets to the ground. In this instance, Garp could simply walk up to them and punch them into the ground. Garp can also use the Press-Press Fruit to pull his opponents towards him so they can fly straight into one of his Haki infused punches.

9. The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit Would Make Garp Immune To Damage

The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit appeared during the Summit War, and it was used to protect Whitebeard from Dracule Mihawk’s strongest slash. Thanks to the power of this Paramecia, the user can transform any part of their body into diamond.

With the Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit, Garp would be immune to virtually all forms of physical damage, which is great since his natural durability has decreased with age. The diamond skin is great for defense, but it enhances the user’s physical attack power as well. Garp can use this Devil Fruit to further enhance his insane punching power.

8. The More-More Fruit Would Increase The Speed & Strength Of Garp’s Attacks

The More-More Fruit is not an official Devil Fruit because it appears in a One Piece filler TV special, but that does not mean Garp cannot benefit from its ability. It gives its user the power to amplify the speed and size of any object they touch up to 100 times. This power can also amplify the user’s physical speed.

Garp likes to throw cannonballs with his bare hands, and with the More-More Fruit, he can make each cannonball far deadlier. If he increases his own speed, he will be able to put a lot more force into his devastating attacks. Someone can dodge Garp’s punches if he’s moving normally, but they probably won’t be able to dodge his attacks if they cannot keep up with his enhanced speed.

7. The Magma-Magma Fruit Can Make Garp’s Punches Even More Lethal

Like most Logia-type Devil Fruits, the Magma-Magma Fruit grants its user intangibility. This means that most attacks will simply phase through Garp’s body as long as they are not infused with Haki. It would also allow Garp to create and transform into magma. The Magma-Magma Fruit possesses incredible offensive power because the magma can melt through just about anything.

Garp could fire a barrage of magma projectiles, but that does not suit his melee fighting style. Fleet Admiral Akainu used this power to kill Ace with a magma punch, and he later punched a hole through Whitebeard’s body. If Garp could combine this magma with his advanced Conqueror’s Haki, his punches would be far more lethal.

6. Urouge’s Unnamed Devil Fruit Would Allow Garp To Convert Damage Into Strength

Urouge comes from a Sky Island and he is part of the Worst Generation. He also ate a currently unnamed Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that is perfect for close-ranged fighters like Garp. It would give Garp the ability to convert any damage he sustains into pure physical strength.

When this conversion happens, Garp’s body will increase in size and his muscles will expand. This enhanced strength would make all of Garp’s punches stronger. Garp took serious damage when he fought the Blackbeard Pirates on Pirate Island, and if he had this Devil Fruit, the additional strength would have probably allowed him to beat Kuzan and the other Commanders who were present.

5. The Flower-Flower Fruit Would Give Garp A lot More Fists To Attack With

The Flower-Flower Fruit may sound botanical in nature, but it has nothing to do with flowers. It is a Paramecia which gives its user the power to sprout pieces of their body on the surface of other living or non-living things. Garp can use this power to sprout arms on an enemy. He could restrain them with the arms, or he could use the arms to break their backs.

Garp prefers to throw punches though, and the Flower-Flower Fruit would allow him to create a lot more fists to punch with. He could sprout arms on an opponent’s shoulders and deliver a powerful punch to both sides of their head simultaneously to knock them out. He could even sprout multiple arms to form a massive fist that can cause colossal damage.

4. The Dark-Dark Fruit Would Allow Garp To Pull Enemies Into His Attacks

The Dark-Dark Fruit is considered the most evil Devil Fruit because the user is able to control and transform into darkness. Unlike other Logia-types, it would not give Garp any form of intangibility because the user acts like a physical source of gravity. Garp would be able to absorb entire buildings and non-physical attacks like a black hole, and he would be able to fire everything back at his opponent.

The gravity aspect of the Dark-Dark Fruit would allow Garp to pull an opponent straight into one of his Haki empowered punches. As a Vice Admiral, Garp deals with a lot of pirates who have Devil Fruit powers of their own, and the Dark-Dark Fruit would be beneficial because it can negate other Devil Fruit powers through physical contact.

3. Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha Would Allow Garp To Create Powerful Shock Waves

The Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that first appeared during the Summit War at Marineford. If Garp had this Devil Fruit, he would be able to transform into a giant golden Buddha. The transformation would make Garp’s body more durable, and his punches would be strong enough to injure Luffy’s rubber body.

This Devil Fruit gives its user the ability to create powerful shock waves with a simple palm thrust. One of these shock waves was strong enough to hurt Blackbeard and most of his Commanders. If Garp had this power, he probably would have been able to knock them all out with a shock wave – Haki punch combo.

2. The Strong-Strong Fruit Would Significantly Boost Garp’s Superhuman Strength

Garp’s physical strength is still considered to be legendary despite his age, and it would be even greater if he had the power of the Strong-Strong Fruit. It is a Paramecia that enhances the user’s strength to superhuman levels. Based on Garp’s natural strength, the Strong-Strong Fruit would probably allow him to lift and throw a mountain.

If Garp was able to combine this superhuman strength with his advanced Haki, he might have been able to beat Kuzan on Pirate Island. If he had the Strong-Strong Fruit when he was younger, there’s a chance he could have defeated the former Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

1. The Tremor-Tremor Fruit Would Make Garp’s Punches Far More Destructive

The Tremor-Tremor Fruit is considered the strongest Paramecia because it theoretically has the power to destroy the entire world. If Garp had this Devil Fruit he would be able to create powerful quakes through any medium. If used properly, he could use this power to devastate an island like Marineford.

Whitebeard could focus these quakes into his fists, and if Grap could do the same thing he would be able to deal serious damage. If Garp were to use a normal quake punch, he would probably break most of his opponent’s bones instantly. Garp’s Galaxy Impact attack utilizes advanced Conqueror’s Haki, and it can flatten an entire area. If Galaxy Impact could be converted into a type of quake punch, Garp would likely be able to destroy an entire island with a single blow.
