The Kardashians’ infamous Christmas Eve party takes place on December 24. The family tradition began in 1978 and quickly developed into a full-blown event featuring the likes of J-Lo and other star-studded guests. Last year, Kris Jenner brought out her popular lemon cake for the 2022 party.
It was Kourtney Kardashian‘s turn to host the annual event last year. For 45 years, designer gowns, Kris Jenner’s famous lemon cake recipe, celebrity guests and even North West singing with Sia have made the party one-of-a-kind in the media industry. Even Elon Musk was even in attendance at the 2019 celebrations…

Kris Jenner hosted most of the original parties before she passed the baton to Kim in 2019. In 1978, it started out as a party on Christmas Eve for Kris and her friends, but it quickly turned into so much more.
Then, more friends, family, grandparents and cousins started to attend. Over time, the festive bash grew but it wasn’t until 2017 when big-time celebrities began to attend, such as legendary Carole Bayer Sager.

Annual event grew in 2011 to 2018
In 2012, Caitlyn Jenner‘s son Brody joined the family’s festivities, falling asleep with a Santa Claus decoration in his arms, as well as a bottle of Jameson. In 2015, Santa done meet-and-greets for the family.
Khloé’s first year rocking a baby bump was at the 2017 annual event when Christina Aguilera attended and Toni Braxton performed Christmas favorites with Babyface.
At the 2018 Christmas Eve party, Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez enjoyed a hot dog stand, while there was sledding, a John Legend concert and an Instagram-worthy light tunnel.

2019 to 2023: Elon Musk joins attendees
In 2019, Elon Musk and Grimes were invited, while North performed with Sia. Christmas carolers, the Sunday Service choir and rappers like Quavo and Saweetie joined the famous party.
Sadly, the family tradition had to be paused for Christmas 2020 for the first time in 40 years due to the covid-19 pandemic. However they brought it back in 2021 – but Scott Disick wasn’t invited.
For Kourtney’s 2022 bash, she brought a Mrs. Claus into a traditional old-fashioned kitchen baking cookies, while Kris’ famous lemon cake, and Kylie’s matching dress with Stormi made for a great event.
