LeBron James Sets Sights on HOF before Wrapping up NBA Career.

James is known to be one of the most calculated athletes in sports history

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday to question why NBA players have to be retired before inducting them into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, unlike coaches, who can still be active after receiving the honor.

James, 38, is one of the most calculated athletes in sports history. Everything he says has a rason and this tweet might be to make his GOAT case even stronger.

“Why do players have to be retired before going into the HOF?? Coaches get in while still coaching rightfully so. Wondering what’s the difference though,” James tweeted.

James might not be 6-0 in NBA Finals like Michael Jordan, but he is the highest-ever scorer, first In-Season Tournament winner and becoming a HOFer, while proving to be the most durable player of all time, could help his case against the Chicago Bulls legend.

Michael Jordan has done the same

Jordan, 60, and James have nothing but respect for each other, though they remain highly competitive and will stop at nothing to secure their legacy.

It is well documented that Jordan gave the green light to produce “The Last Dance” documentary on Netflix right after James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to overcome a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors for an NBA title.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was inducted into the HOF in August and is currently coaching Victor Wembanyama, who could eventually enter the GOAT convo himself.
