Kristen Stewart, Cindy Crawford, Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Hudgens were also among the famous faces who turned out for the lavish bash in Los Angeles last night.

Female stars from across Hollywood came together at the bash, held at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, to honour the Elle Magazine’s top women.

Australian actress Margot Robbie looked stunning in a black dress with cut-out sides and a plunging neckline.

Reese Witherspoon also chose black for the event, flashing her legs in a sparkly mini-dress teamed with high heels.

Another actress in black was Jennifer Lawrence, 27, who stunned the crowd with a heart-breaking speech about how she was ordered to lose weight at the start of her career.

During her turn on stage, the Oscar winner admitted a film producer ordered her to drop more than two stone in two weeks.

She also confessed that she was asked to take part in a nude line-up with other actresses.

Jennifer said: “When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks…

“During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me.

“We are stood side-by-side with only tape on covering our privates.

“After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.”

She added that another male producer told her : “He didn’t know why everyone thought I was so fat, he thought I was ‘perfectly f***able.’”

Jennifer went on: “I let myself be treated a certain way because I felt I had to for my career.

“I’m still learning that I don’t have to smile when a man makes me uncomfortable.

“Every human being should have the power to be treated with respect because they’re human.”
