In particular, K-Pop fans know Kyle as creating some of the most iconic dances in K-Pop, including BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love,” Red Velvet‘s “Ice Cream Cake,” and many more.

Kyle specifically pointed out the Christmas dance and explained that, like BLACKPINK, the scene had four girls in it. He then explained that most of the people watching the new movie would be the generation who grew up watching BLACKPINK since their debut in 2016.

Kyle added that this meant BLACKPINK was in his mind when choreographing the dance.

When I was choreographing the Christmas dance, I was like, ‘Let’s put a little bit of like inspiration from BLACKPINK in there.’ So, it’s definitely kind of inspired by some of the work I’ve done for other artists because it’s influenced the new generation of performers and actors.

When the video was shared, netizens couldn’t get over how BLACKPINK’s influence would be felt in a remake of such an iconic movie.

It will be interesting to see if fans can see the influence of BLACKPINK when the movie comes out.
