Several The Boys characters have already had cameos in Gen V and there are plenty more great additions that we’d love to see be a part of season 2.
Gen V‘s first season featured plenty of characters from The Boys but there are still several more that should feature in season 2. The Boys spinoff show proved to be a huge hit and warranted the universe’s expansion.
While the university setting could have been a hindrance to the show, it managed to introduce a variety of interesting young supes who could play a big part in not only the spinoff but also the entire Boys franchise going forward. Gen V has prompted The Boys season 4 theories, showing instantly that the show has a massive impact and that these characters may be crucial to the overall story.
Throughout Gen V season 1, there are a whole host of recognizable faces making some kind of cameo. Some only had small, brief parts, while others had a massive role. Homelander attacking Marie in Gen V season 1’s finale proved to be a shocking conclusion. His screen time may have been short compared to The Boys, but even with a limited window, he made a huge impact. Gen V using such a big character highlights how each series will overlap and impact one another. With the likelihood of some Gen V characters appearing in The Boys season 4, there are more main show characters who would be great for Gen V season 2.
8 Black Noir
Black Noir Could Play A Fun And Humorous Role In Gen V
Although The Boys season 4 will have a new Black Noir, the concept of the character visiting Godolkin University could be hilarious. Black Noir is known for not talking, and while the original was incapable, his replacement will likely not talk either to keep continuity, since the original character was killed off. Having him be there to make some form of speech or public appearance could play to the universe’s humor, as he would likely stand awkwardly in front of the crowd. Black Noir would be completely out of place at Godolkin, which would make his appearance that much funnier and show how Vought will use anyone for PR, regardless of the situation.
7 Ezekiel
Ezekiel Could Continue Influencing The Youth In Gen V
In The Boys season 1, Ezekiel was a supe who preached religion despite having plenty of secrets that contradicted his messages. The Boys indicated he had a pretty big influence over the youth, trying to preach a religious message that is on brand with Vought, all to help the brand. Gen V would be the perfect setting to bring him back as he has a good public image and is a great speaker, meaning he could win over many university students. Vought could use Ezekiel to talk positively about Homelander and the Seven, as the division between Homelander and Starlight looks to be a key theme for the franchise’s future.
6 Stormfront
The Connection Between The Woods And Sage Grove Set Up A Stromfront Cameo
The connection between Gen V‘s The Woods and The Boys‘ Sage Grove makes a Stormfront cameo in Gen V even more likely. There are theories that Stormfront may still be alive in The Boys season 4, but even if she is, her injuries make a modern appearance difficult. However, given Stormfront was directly involved with Sage Grove, Gen V could potentially link her to The Woods facility through flashbacks. Much of The Woods’ story has been revealed, but a Stormfront link could connect both shows’ main characters. Each set has a history with either The Woods or Sage Grove and this could make them relate to one another and provide common ground.
5 Kimiko
It Would Give Kimiko A Chance To Experience An Education Setting
Kimiko’s tragic backstory means she didn’t get the opportunity to have a proper education. She started as a more distant and aggressive character, but her true personality has been showcased over time, suggesting she is more sweet and wholesome. Having Kimiko cameo in Gen V would be both heartwarming and amusing. She may be there to investigate, potentially The Woods or a specific character, but this could still be humorous. Giving Kimiko the chance to be overwhelmed by the setting and perhaps even participate in some of the crazy student antics could be a highlight and would be great to see in season 2.
4 Billy Butcher
Billy Butcher Would Make Gen V Feel More Valuable
Despite having a brief cameo in the finale’s mid-credit scene, Billy Butcher needs to be part of Gen V season 2. He is arguably the biggest opposition to supes, which would make him meeting genuinely good-hearted students with powers, an interesting premise. Gen V could allow Butcher to assemble a powerful team, and while this could begin happening in The Boys season 4, there is no reason the dynamic can’t continue into Gen V season 2. Butcher having supes to help fight alongside him would be a huge power shift and having one of the series’ main characters in a spinoff would highlight how important Gen V actually is.
3 Stan Edgar
Stan Edgar Is Still A Powerful Figure In The Boys Universe
He may no longer be the CEO of Vought, but Stan Edgar is still a powerful figure and can manipulate and persuade many people. Appearing in Gen V could give him the chance to get his job back or regain some sort of control over Vought. By appearing at Godolkin and giving a pro-Homelander or Vought speech, he may win back some favor. On the flip side, he could directly oppose them, perhaps turning some of the students against the supe takeover. His words carry a lot of weight and influencing Godolkin’s students is a perfect use for Stan Edgar in Gen V.
2 Ryan Butcher
Homelander May Send His Son To Godolkin University
Homelander has many flaws, but he does try to be a good dad to Ryan. Despite being way too young, it wouldn’t be uncharacteristic for Homelander to send his son to university before he is even a teenager. The Boys season 4 potentially sets up Ryan’s death as Homelander, despite his best efforts, won’t be a great influence on his life. Ryan will likely be put in constant danger with The Boys season 4 trailer even showing him killing someone. Perhaps a near-death experience could make Homelander send his son to Godolkin, expecting they will make him a better hero while also being able to keep tabs on him.
1 Starlight
Starlight’s Role In The Boys Season 4 Offers The Perfect Opportunity At A Gen V Cameo
With Starlight vs Homelander looking to be the key theme of The Boys season 4, a Gen V season 2 appearance makes sense. Unless the entire feud ends in season 4, which is unlikely, then it could spill over into Gen V, where Starlight may be looking to win over supporters. She could make a speech like many other characters, or do something more unique, like a rally. Many of the Godolkin students seem like they will be on the side of Homelander which would make Starlight’s involvement all the more interesting.
Erin Moriarty even addressed a Starlight cameo in Gen V season 2, claiming “I’m game for whatever they decide.” She also mentioned Starlight’s influence, essentially acknowledging the fact that the character could have a big impact on many people in The Boys universe, including Godolkin’s students. There is even the potential she ends up doing her own investigation into the university or has some sort of fight with the students which would be an interesting premise. Regardless of what her role may be, Starlight would be the perfect fit for Gen V season 2.
