Bronny James, the Bugatti of Basketball? Gilbert Arenas Draws Parallels, Describing LeBron’s Son’s Talent as Powerful yet Restrained.

Gilbert Arenas offered his assessment on what kind of player he thinks Bronny James is, less than a month after LeBron claimed that his eldest son was good enough to play for the L.A. Lakers this season, as he compared the USC guard to a supercar.

Bronny, who started for the first time in a 68-58 loss to Colorado, earlier this month, is averaging 5.9 points in 11 games, so far, this season after suffering cardiac arrest last summer.

Speaking on his eponymous podcast show before USC’s 82-67 loss to Arizona State on Saturday night, during which Bronny registered seven points and five assists, on top of three turnovers committed, Arenas said: ‘Bronny… he’s a Jrue Holiday, just more athletic.

‘If he turns on his tiger, for sure. He just plays the right way. We don’t know what he really is. He has the Bugatti engine, but he wants to drive the speed limit. He don’t want a ticket. ”I don’t want a ticket.” That’s how he uses his body.’

Holiday, a two-time All-Star and an NBA champion who is currently playing for the Boston Celtics, is considered to be one of the best defenders of the decade, so far, after being named in the NBA’s All-Defensive first team on three different occasions.

Ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas rates Bronny James highly but thinks he can work on his aggression.

Bronny James has averaged 5.9 points in 11 games played for USC after a cardiac arrest in July.

From what it seems, Arena rates Bronny highly, especially his athleticism but the former Washington Wizards point guard thinks the 19-year-old lacks aggression.

The USC Trojans’ 15-point loss to the ASU Sun Devils this weekend was the team’s fourth straight defeat since beating Stanford, 93-79, on January 6.

ASU ended a two-game skid with its most lopsided conference win, thanks in part to forcing the Trojans into 22 turnovers.

Bronny registered seven points, five assists and four rebounds against Arizona State, Saturday.

Vincent Iwuchukwu recorded a double-double for the Trojans with team-highs of 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Kobe Johnson added 13 points. No other Trojans player scored in double figures.

Jose Perez scored 20 points and Frankie Collins and Jamiya Neal each scored 17 points. Arizona State beat USC to end a seven-game regular season losing streak against the Trojans on Saturday.

Alonzo Gaffney added 11 points for ASU.

It was ASU’s first regular season win against the Trojans since February 8, 2020, although the Sun Devils did beat USC in the quarterfinals of the Pac 12 Conference Tournament last year.
