As soon as the referee blew the whistle to start the match, Real attacked like a storm. However, Las Palmas’ defense stood firm. After that, the White Vultures started to slow down and that was an opportunity for the home team to rise up.

In the 31st minute, a Las Palmas player fell in Real’s penalty area after Ceballos’ impact. However, after consulting VAR, the referee determined there was no error from the away team player.

The first half ended without any goals scored. Entering the second half, the home team Las Palmas proactively pushed their team up and increased their strong attack towards Real’s goal.

By the 53rd minute, they had scored the opening goal. Sandro Ramirez skillfully dribbled the ball on the right wing to escape Rudiger’s block before stretching for Javi Munoz to cross the ball into Real’s net.

Just 4 minutes later, Real seemed to have equalized but the goal was not recognized. Carvajal ran in to catch the cross on the left wing and fired it into Las Palmas’s net, but the referee determined that the defender was in an offside position.

However, the away team did not have to wait long for a goal. In the 65th minute, Camavinga made a classy pass for Vinicius to run down and hit Las Palmas’ net, equalizing 1-1.

By the 84th minute, the White Vultures completed their comeback. From Kroos’ corner kick on the right wing, Tchuameni headed in with a powerful header, setting the score 2-1 for Real.

The final result of this match was a narrow victory for Real Madrid. The White Vultures officially take the top spot of Girona with 2 points more than their opponent and have had the same number of matches. However, their lead could be snatched away if Girona beat Granada on Monday morning. At that time, Girona will again be 1 point ahead of Real but will play 1 more match.
