Luffy’s Stamina in Egghead – Explained

Luffy getting tired has happened repeatedly in Egghead. I see some thinking Oda is just nerfing Luffy to allow stuff to happen. But what if this is actually a plot point? What if there’s a reason Luffy’s stamina seems to be so short in this arc?

And then it dawned on me: what if Luffy getting so tired in Egghead is because the Iron Giant is powering itself with his stamina? Maybe the robot is not just responding to his presence, but actually leeching off him so it can awaken at some point.
