The referee reported harm, Real Madrid lost the victory

As expected, Real Madrid went through a difficult 90 minutes during their away trip to Valencia’s stadium.

Entering the 27th round in La Liga, Real Madrid has a trip to Mestalla Stadium.

In the most recent clash, Los Blancos destroyed the Bats with a final score of 5-1. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti and his team are still expected to experience a turbulent 90 minutes.

It is important to know that up to now, Valencia has only lost 2 matches at home in La Liga this season.

Indeed, the home team made Real “sweat” at the Mestalla sanctuary. In the 27th minute, Hugo Duro opened the score with an electric header when the ball found him after Fran Perez’s shot.

Just 3 minutes later, taking advantage of Dani Carvajal’s disastrous pass, Roman Yaremchuk easily stole the ball and helped Valencia double the gap.

Before the first half ended, Los Blancos was able to find an equalizer thanks to Vinicius Junior.

Entering the second half, Real could not create too many dangerous situations, and their best chance to equalize the score was missed by Jude Bellingham in the 56th minute.

In order to break the deadlock, a series of changes were made by coach Carlo Ancelotti. One by one, Luka Modric, Brahim Diaz, Joselu and Fran Garcia were sent onto the field, and one of them shined.

In the 76th minute, Diaz’s precise cross found Vinicius’ position, before the Brazilian striker completed his own double and brought the match back to the starting line.

In the final stages of the match, fans continuously witnessed unpredictable developments. At minute 90+1′, the referee awarded Valencia a penalty when Duro fell in the penalty area, but after VAR stepped in, this penalty was taken away.

At minute 90+9, Bellingham scored but the goal was not recognized because the referee blew the whistle to end the match right before the midfielder put the ball into the net. With the final 2-2 draw, the gap between Real and second-place team Girona is currently 7 points.
