Ligue 1 defender the ‘chosen one’ by Real Madrid, €100 million price tag set on him – report

Real Madrid have identified some of the areas of concern ahead of the summer transfer window which they want to reinforce with signings.

With the forward line understaffed, Kylian Mbappe is their priority target, with the Frenchman expected to leave PSG at the end of the season on a free transfer. He has chosen Madrid as his next destination, which has been made clear by the media time and again.

Other than Mbappe, Madrid will also look to pursue Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. The Bavarians have refused to accept his salary demands of €20 million, which likely means he will leave this summer, with his contract expiring in 2025.

While these two potions are a priority, Madrid will also look for a right-back, probably for next summer. But if finances permit, they will also try to sign a centre-back after an injury crisis this summer.

They have identified Lille’s Yeny Loro as their chosen centre-back, as per a report from MARCA.

Lille demand €100 million

Real Madrid are very impressed with Yoro and do not want to let the Frenchman escape from their transfer radar.

His contract expires in the summer of 2025, but Lille are determined to retain his services the foreseeable future. And to avoid any untimely exit, they seem to be asking for €100 million for his signing.

Madrid will, of course not, shell out nine digits for a player on the last 16 months of his contract. They are hoping to complete his signing for around €30 million, and could even wait until 2025 to sign him on a free transfer.

Yoro wants Real Madrid

Lille are clear that they will not sell Yoro to PSG, who are interested in the player, and the €100 million price tag is largely an attempt to halt their pursuit.

Luckily for Madrid, Yoro wants to sign for Real Madrid, Lille are also aware about his desire, but are refusing to negotiate as of now.

Madrid will likely try to sign him in the summer, but could wait until the summer of 2025, especially with Nacho likely to sign another one-year contract extension.
