eBron James’ son Bryce makes huge career move as youngster looks to follow in footsteps of record-breaking NBA dad

BRYCE James is seemingly heading back to Sierra Canyon – where his budding basketball career started.

The youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has reportedly rejoined the prestigious high school basketball program, six months after leaving.

Bryce transferred to Campbell High after his sophomore season in May.

At the same time, his brother Bronny left Sierra Canyon for his freshman year of college at USC.

At Campbell High, he worked out alongside Chris Paul’s son, Chris Paul Jr. and participated in the Section 7 tournament in Arizona.

Bryce also competed in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball league over the summer.

The James family made a donation for a new athletic facility at the Campbell High campus, per ESPN.

But in August, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard was on the move again, taking his talents to Notre Dame, the CIF State Division 1 champions.

He spent just three months with the team, though, and is now back with Sierra Canyon, according to Sports Illustrated.

Bryce would have missed half the season had he stayed at Notre Dame as the James family didn’t change residency after the 16-year-old enrolled at the Sherman Oaks school for fall.

That’s not the case at Sierra Canyon and since he didn’t play in any game for Notre Dame, the guard could be eligible to return to the court as soon as this week.

The Trailblazers started the 2023-24 season with three straight wins.

Bryce averaged just 3.8 points per game in 12 varsity appearances for Sierra Canyon as a sophomore.

But the athletic prospect’s development has been carefully tracked by college programs.

Considered a four-star prospect, Bryce – who will be eligible to declare for the NBA draft in 2026 – has already received offers from Ohio State and Duquesne University.

Last year, he signed a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with Klutch Sports, LeBron’s agency.

Meanwhile, the 19-time NBA All-Star has just made history again, becoming the first NBA player to reach 39,000 career points in the 131-99 win over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.

LeBron averaged 25.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in the first 14 games of the 2023-24 NBA season.
