Exploring Potential Roles: 9 Characters from The Boys Jared Padalecki Could Portray.

Supernatural star Jared Padelecki could play any superhero if he made an appearance on Prime Video’s The Boys, as many superheroes haven’t been included in the show yet.

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki may play any of the superheroes who haven’t made their debut in The Boys yet if he decides to make an appearance in later seasons. In season four of The Boys, new characters who haven’t made their live-action debuts will join the cast, giving Padalecki the opportunity to interpret them in a variety of intriguing ways should he ever get cast. The Boys stands out for a variety of reasons, including its sharp criticism of comic books in general and the superhero subgenre in particular.

9 Critter

Critter is a parody of Beast from the X-Men.

Though Critter’s bestial appearance may indicate otherwise, he’s actually a human-like supe like many others prominently featured throughout The Boys. However, due to the extreme amounts of Compound V exposure he experienced during his childhood, Critter developed hair all over his body along with other canine-like features, hence his name. As a direct parody of X-Men‘s Beast, Critter isn’t nearly as intelligent as his Marvel Comics counterpart, and his rampant homophobia makes him decidedly unlikable.

“Given that Padalecki primarily plays good guys, it would be fun to see him take on a role in which his character is ostensibly deplorable.”

8 Blarney Cock

Blarney is the illegitimate son of Queen Maeve and The Legend.

Due to Blarney Cock’s illegitimacy, he was raised in an Irish orphanage in the offices of Vought before being recruited into the American-based adolescent team, the Teenage Kix. Blarney Cock would swiftly form a close bond with fellow member, Whack Job, after which both men would steal drugs from various children’s hospitals to satisfy their substance abuse habits. Although Blarney was killed by a Compound V-enhanced Hughie, he was revived via Vought’s Compound V reanimation effort, which introduced the element of zombies into The Boys.

7 Mister Marathon

Mister Marathon was the original speedster in The Seven.

In addition to being an obvious nod to DC Comics’ The Flash, Mister Marathon was one of the original members of the Vought-sponsored superhero team, The Seven, and while he wasn’t a saint, he also wasn’t as bad as his teammates. As the group’s speedster, Mister Marathon was responsible for some of the team’s more time-sensitive missions. However, after a failed attempt at preventing the September 11, 2001, attacks, Mister Marathon was brutally murdered in all the carnage, which introduced A-Train to the Seven.

“Padalecki and A-Train actor Jesse T. Usher could exchange many racially-charged jabs at each other given the show’s style, which would make for fun and provoking commentary about privilege and opportunity.”

6 Five-Oh

One of the founding members of the G-Men.

Along with fellow G-Men member, Cold Snap, Five-Oh was one of the founding members of the G-Men alongside John Godolkin. As such, Five-Oh is The Boys‘ version of Cyclops, and as his name would imply, he dresses and acts like an officer of the law. However, given The Boys‘ biting sense of humor, Five-Oh is depicted as an overtly racist and hedonistic man who cares more about making money than actually saving lives. Furthermore, Five-Oh proves time and again to be a poor leader, something completely the opposite of Cyclops, which makes him an even worse character.

5 SwingWing

SwingWing is the adult version of Tek Knight’s sidekick, Laddio.

SwingWing is a parody of Nightwing, and given his relationship to Tek Knight, The Boys‘ quasi version of Batman, the reference makes sense. SwingWing is depicted as an All-American hero, and because of his popularity among young people in The Boys, is propped up by Vought-America as one of the most humble and down-to-earth heroes on their roster. However, despite SwingWing’s curated image, he’s actually one of the most overtly homophobic men in The Boys, despite Vought-America marketing him as a champion for gay rights.

“Boasting a tall frame and piercing eyes, Padalecki possesses what many would consider All-American looks, which physically makes him a perfect candidate for SwingWing.”

4 Jack From Jupiter

Jack from Jupiter’s alien-like appearance is a clear reference to DC Comics’ The Martian Manhunter.

Despite Jack from Jupiter’s gangly, alien-like appearance, he is actually a human-like, supe similar to many others in The Boys. Although Jack from Jupiter isn’t nearly as popular or respected as his fellow members of The Seven, he is just as vapid and willing to turn a blind eye to his team’s numerous acts of amorality. Additionally, it is implied that Jack from Jupiter has an attraction to minors, which arguably makes him one of the worst supes in The Boys.

3 Big Game

Big Game is the leader of the Teenage Kix.

Big Game is the leader of Teenage Kix, a superhero group marketed to young people in an effort to convince them that Vought cares about their futures. Despite his appearance, Big Game is actually a teen, with his muscular adult visage being a direct result of extreme Compound V exposure as a child. While the character talks a big game, hence his name, Big Game is one of the more cowardly characters, often losing fights that he starts, and bullying others for their homo𝑠e𝑥uality despite his own bi𝑠e𝑥uality.

2 Modern Soldier Boy

The comics have three versions of Soldier Boy.

As demonstrated by The Boys season 3, Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy is a clear reference to Marvel Comics’ Captain America. As the former leader of the Vought-sponsored group, Payback, Soldier Boy committed many atrocities on America’s behalf before being captured and experimented on. Furthermore, Soldier Boy is revealed to be the father of Homelander, something that he absolutely loathes. Despite his significance to The Boys, there are two other versions of Soldier Boy, as the name is merely a legacy title used by Vought-America to spread American propaganda throughout the world.

“Padalecki appearing as the improved Soldier Boy could also set up a battle between both versions or even a team-up against Homelander in later seasons.”

1 Malchemical

Malchemical was a member of Team Titanic before joining Super Duper.

Malchemical is arguably one of The Boys‘s most evil characters in the series, which is saying a lot, considering the likes of Homelander and even Butcher. However, as a former member of Team Titanic, Malchemical uses his shapeshifting abilities to trick Starlike into having 𝑠e𝑥 with him. As punishment, Malchemical is sent to lead Super Duper, a team of young, low-powered, mentally disabled supes. In addition to his trickery on Starlike, verbal abuse of the members of Super Duper, and nearly killing Hughie, Malchemical would be the perfect villainous role for Padalecki.

“Malchemical genuinely delights in his mistreatment of people, which would provide Padalecki with an opportunity to be the most evil character he’s ever played.”
