‘I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals, and I don’t have the songs for them yet, but maybe that’s the key, this time,’ added the pinup who posed in purple lingerie this week.

‘Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make,’ noted the cover girl.

Rihanna has ‘a lot of visual ideas’ for a new album. Fans have been patiently awaiting for her ninth studio LP for eight years following the singer’s last album, ‘Anti’, which was released in January 2016. However, it seems the wait is set to go on as the mother-of-two has revealed that so far she is having a lot of creative ideas but no songs to go with them yet

Speaking to Interview Magazine, she said: ‘I have a lot of visual ideas. It’s weird. My brain is working backward right now. ‘I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals, and I don’t have the songs for them yet, but maybe that’s the key, this time’

Asked further about the inspiration behind her new tracks, she said: ‘Random ideas, quirky ideas, things that have nothing to do with me at all.

‘I mean, I can’t tell you. The opps is watching.’

It comes after the Barbadian singer recently revealed she’s excited ‘for what is to come’ claiming that the album that will come next will be something of a rebirth.

Rihanna told Complex: ‘I’m in an era of discovery. And maybe it’s rediscovery because so much is changing, and some things are fleeting. And some things are yet to be discovered, right? And I’m in the centre of all of that.

‘So I’m not on a landing yet, but I’m excited for what is to come because I have the feeling of what it is.

‘But I can’t put it into words, and I know the journey is going to be exciting of getting there. And that’s not just with fashion or my daily routine … with music, all of it! I’m really excited to explore things right now.’

The siren spilled this week the reason she chose A$AP Rocky to settle down with.

Turns out all that time during lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic made their romance speed up.

The singer and the 35-year-old rap star began dating shortly before the global health crisis started and now Rihanna feels the pandemic was a turning point in their relationship.

The We Found Love hitmaker – who has sons RZA and Riot with Rocky – told Interview magazine: ‘COVID sped up our relationship, which I felt like God knew we needed to because we were going to start a family.

‘And had it not been for COVID, we would’ve taken a lot more time to get comfortable with each other, to even know that we were ready.’

Rihanna believes her current romance is different to anything she’s previously experienced, and she was always convinced that Rocky would become a ‘great dad.’

The award-winning star – who has previously dated Chris Brown and businessman Hassan Jameel – explained: ‘I let God lead and just let go. Because in previous relationships, I tried and tried and tried my best, and you still feel like it’s not enough.

‘So when someone sees you completely, and believes in you, and thinks you’re worthy of being the mother of their kids, it’s a great feeling,’ the Super Bowl half time performer stated.

‘I knew he would be a great dad.’

Rihanna has relished the challenge of motherhood.

Asked if she’s amazed by what she’s achieved in her life, Rihanna shared: ‘The only thing that I knew I wanted, or that I could imagine, was motherhood.

‘I didn’t know how it would come, but it is the best part of my journey so far. Everything else was a surprise.’
