Scarlett Johansson, our December issue cover star, is one of the world’s 𝑠e𝑥iest and most celebrated screen sirens – and as you can see from her striking cover shoot, nothing screams Hollywood glamour like a statement red lip…

With a little help from Dolce & Gabbana‘s top Creative Advisor, Pat McGrath, we’ve come up with the ultimate guide to recreating Scarlett’s A-list cover look at home. And it all starts with the lips.

‘I think the key to the perfect pout is to take your time in the application, and work with the bullet of the lipstick according to the shape of your lips’, Pat exclusively revealed to Marie Claire UK.

For our cover shoot, Scarlett wore the Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in Rubino for a vampy high-voltage look.

‘It often helps to apply a little concealer to the lips to create a lovely base, and then I would recommend working from the top of the cupids bow to the outer corners of the lips, really ensuring you follow your lips natural lines.’

‘As the colour pigment is quite strong, you can always blot your lips with a light tissue and re-apply another layer – this really builds the pigment and ensures the lipstick is super long lasting.’

For a glow as gorgeous as Scarlett’s, try Dolce & Gabbana’s Perfect Matte Liquid Foundation and add a dab of The Illuminator in Eva to cheek and brow bones for subtle contouring.

Scarlett’s flirty doe-eyed look was achieved with a flick of Dolce & Gabbana Passioneyes Duo Mascara: Curl and Volume in Nero and a dab of Dolce&Gabbana Smooth Eye Colour Duo in Cinnamon on the lid. Gorgeous.

Scarlett also wore Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer in Nude, and her signature fragrance, The One.
