Cyrus Turned Carly Recording Over to FBI – Revenge for Mom’s Kidnapping?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) recently opened up to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about the details of the FBI’s evidence against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). In the May 8 episode, Jason admitted the exact nature of the feds’ proof of RICO violations.

GH fans may recall that when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was in Nixon Falls and Jason was injured back in 2021, Carly made quite a splash by strutting in the mob boss meeting.

Carly met with the other heads of the crime families in Jason’s place since she felt she had no choice.

It was important for Carly to show that Sonny’s business was strong despite his absence, so that’s what she did.

However, that meeting led to a recording of Carly saying she was in charge of Sonny’s organization now and acting like the queen bee.

Jason surrendered to John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam Harrington) Pikeman takedown plan once he got updates on the leverage.

Of course, Jason’s story raises an interesting question: How did the FBI get their hands on that incriminating recording?

The whole meeting was surely hush-hush, so it seems like someone else present at it must’ve been behind the betrayal.

That brings us to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who was at the meeting and would’ve had a strong motive to seek revenge on Carly at the time.

This meeting happened not too long after Carly had the bright idea to kidnap Cyrus’ beloved mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott).

Cyrus was absolutely furious about that and might’ve eventually used the recording to get the payback he was craving.

When Cyrus agreed to help Anna grill Phillip O’Neill (Jeff Leaf) at Pentonville, he seemed to be keeping some secrets.

What if one of them was the fact that he supplied the incriminating evidence against Carly to the FBI?

Cyrus may have gone after revenge following the Florence abduction news, which could add an interesting twist to all this.

General Hospital spoilers say more info could be revealed about that incriminating recording sooner or later, so stick with us for updates and more predictions on where this story will go from here.
