LeBron James reunited with his former coach at the Lakers after the shocking statement went viral

“He’s coming to the Lakers”: NBA fans react to Sacramento Kings and Mike Brown contract conundrum

NBA Fans react to Sacramento Kings and Mike Brown contract conundrum

The LA Lakers remain in search of a new head coach after parting ways with Darvin Ham. The Purple and Gold were linked with the LA Clippers’ Tyronn Lue. However, the former Laker decided to re-sign with the Clippers, signing a new five year contract reportedly worth $14 million annually.

Meanwhile, after the latest development regarding Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown, plenty of fans have started speculating about the former LeBron James coach’s future. The Kings are reportedly yet to reach an agreement over their coach’s new contract.

“The Sacramento Kings have made a competitive offer to head coach Mike Brown on a contract extension – three years and $21 million through 2026-27, up to $27 million with bonuses, sources say. So far, no agreement. Brown is believed to be seeking around $10 million annually,” The Athletic’s Shams Charania posted on X.

This update sparked plenty of reactions from fans, who didn’t take long to link Brown with a James reunion in Los Angeles.

“He’s coming to the Lakers,” one fan claimed.”He’s a laker,” another fan stated.”Mike Brown should go to the Lakers,” another fan claimed.

A group of fans focused on the fact that the Kings might lose a coach that took them out of the bottom of the West and made them a playoff team.

“Kings being cheap with their only successful coach in 2 decades. You hate to see it,” one fan sarcastically said.

Lakers fans have reason to believe the Kings can fumble Brown and Sacramento fans, knowing the history of their franchise, should be sweating about this update.

Amid Mike Brown drama, JJ Redick reportedly the front-runner to be the next Lakers HC

Despite the Mike Brown contract drama, Lakers have reportedly zeroed in on one candidate to take up their coaching mantle. Former NBA player JJ Redick has been getting a lot of buzz for the Lakers job ever since the position became available.

According to Lakers insider Anthony Irwin, the team is interested in bringing Redick in, and that it is “a matter of when and not if” for this signing.

“It is just a matter of when, not if, that this gets announced,” Irwin said.

After two disappointing seasons losing to the same opponent, Denver Nuggets, in the NBA playoffs, the Purple and Gold are ready to move on with a new helmsman. Either through appointing Redick or a surprise move for Brown, this team aspires to overcome their recent postseason woes.
