Joy Reid sends Thanksgiving warning to Trump voters in doomsday video message

MSNBC’s Joy Reid told Republicans their liberal friends and family have a right to be scared in an end-of-times warning on TikTok today.

Reid, 55, who recently left X after Elon Musk’s cabinet nomination by President-Elect Donald Trump, isn’t done explaining to GOP voters why she believes Democrats are rightfully scared for the future.

She warned Trump voters they should accept being excluded from family Thanksgiving plans, and spoke of the likelihood of the country collapsing under the new government.

‘He’s put together a cabinet of horrors! People are afraid, they’re not just mad because they lost an election.

‘I think this whole question about this anger, this question about people cutting off family members…you’re missing the point.

‘Republicans control everything. People are scared. I think questioning why people don’t want to have dinner with you, or don’t want to be in a group chat anymore, or don’t want to be your friend, or don’t want to hang out with you after you voted to do this to them, potentially, I think you’re missing the point.’

‘It’s not about an election, it’s about whether this country has a future. People are rightfully alarmed, they have a reason to be alarmed,’ she fumed.

She went on to explain that many blue voters are worried about what Trump will implement when all three branches of government are Republican in January.

Many are worried about Trump implementing Project 2025, which largely affects women by restricting access to abortion and making contraceptives harder to get.

‘You really can’t demand and expect that people who are terrified about Project 2025 being fully implemented – including a national abortion ban, a woman dying of sepsis for no reason because they’re pregnant and can’t get healthcare, conception being made illegal, IVF being made illegal.

‘All of these things are on now the table, and he could do all of it. And there’s nothing to stop him,’ Reid said in the video.

She also ridiculed Trump supporters for voting for him because he promised cheaper eggs and gas – and warned that it ‘isn’t even going to happen because tariffs don’t lower the price of eggs, they raise the price of everything.’

‘So, if you got scammed by this person, who is obviously the greatest scammer in the history of the world, okay,’ she said.

‘If you would vote for that, people may not feel confident they’re safe with you. This is not crazy, this is legitimate feelings of fear of you and you might not be someone they could trust’.

‘If you’re voting affirmatively, gleefully for this, people might not feel so confident in you anymore, that’s real and you kind of have to live with that,’ she continued.

‘If you think you can vote for what they see as their destruction and then demand that they still are cool with you and have Thanksgiving with you, I think you’re kind of missing the point,’ she added.

Reid said she fears the country is heading toward autocracy and fascism – government types she said Americans have ‘legitimate’ reason to ‘be afraid of.’

‘You may want to step back and think about why people feel the way that they do…If you’re sad that you’re losing friends over this, I don’t know what to tell you,’ she told Republican voters.

‘America is changing its fundamental nature and you voted for that.’

She went on to say that those who voted for Trump should be ‘proud’ of their vote and the way the nation is heading instead of ‘freaking out that people won’t affirm you for it.’

‘Stand by what you did and keep it moving,’ she said.

‘Y’all be safe out there, because it’s going to be dicey and it’s going to be rough.’
