**Breaking News: UN Expert Calls for Global Action Against Israel’s Occupation Profiteering**

In a shocking press conference in Geneva, UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has issued an urgent call for countries worldwide to sever trade and financial ties with Israel, citing a damning report revealing how corporations have profited from Israel’s military actions and occupation of Palestinian territories. Albanese’s remarks paint a grim picture, declaring, “Palestine is a crime scene,” implicating global consumers and businesses in the ongoing violence and oppression faced by Palestinians.

Albanese’s report identifies over 48 companies, primarily based in the U.S. and Europe, that are allegedly complicit in Israel’s military campaign against Gaza, which she describes as an “economy of genocide.” The Tel Aviv stock exchange has reportedly soared by 213% amid the devastation, raising alarms about the corporate complicity in these atrocities. “For some, genocide is profitable,” Albanese stated, emphasizing the urgent need for international accountability.

The Special Rapporteur condemned the silence of universities and media outlets that perpetuate a narrative of balance while ignoring the realities of genocide. She urged member states to heed the International Court of Justice’s demands for an immediate arms embargo and to dismantle their economic ties with Israel. “If 60,000 deaths do not spur action, we are beyond the pale,” she warned.

Albanese’s report has sparked widespread outrage and support among civil society groups, urging consumers to reconsider their spending habits and hold corporations accountable. “We vote with our wallets,” she asserted, calling for a global awakening to the complicity in the occupation.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza escalates, the international community faces a critical juncture. Will nations respond to this clarion call for justice, or will they continue to turn a blind eye to the economic engines fueling the occupation? The time for action is now.
