Sir Paul McCartney’s lookalike son James, now 47, stunned fans when he appeared at a London screening of The Beatles ’64, celebrating his father’s legacy with a presence that felt almost ghostly familiar. Witnesses whispered that his profile, his smile, even the tilt of his head carried echoes of Paul in his youth, blurring the line between past and present. James, a musician himself, spoke warmly of his father’s influence, calling the screening “a reminder of how music binds generations.” Fans took to social media, some joking it was “like seeing Paul travel through time.” Critics hailed the moment as proof that the Beatles’ story isn’t frozen in history — it continues to breathe through family ties. Tabloids have already dubbed it “the night Paul’s mirror walked into the room.”

The film features new interviews with Paul and Ringo Starr as well as archival interviews from their late band members John Lennon and George Harrison.

James’s appearance at the event comes after his father Paul shocked fans as he snuck into the Beatles ’64 documentary premiere at Hudson Square Theatre in New York City on Sunday.

The musician, 82, looked relaxed as he settled into a random seat in the middle of the venue alongside his wife Nancy, 65, and behind comedian Chris Rock.

While the crowd around him remained calm, Paul was seen waving to a few fans before watching the new film which is produced by famed filmmaker Martin Scorsese, 82.

It was announced that Paul was in attendance right before the screening started, but the majority of the crowd saw him as they were taking their seats.

Overwhelmed by Paul’s appearance, the fan wrote: ‘trying to watch the new beatles documentary and HE SHOWS UP.’

She added in the caption: ‘And if I said I cried during the first ten minutes…’

Other fans couldn’t believe he had snuck into the theatre as they took to the comment section to share their surprise.
