Julian Alvarez confirms he did NOT lose a TOOTH when Manchester City celebrated second goal in Bournemouth rout… as the striker takes to social media to explain

Julian Alvarez has clarified that he did not lose a tooth during Manchester City‘s 6-1 victory over Bournemouth.

While Manchester City were celebrating their second strike of the day, scorer Bernardo Silva pointed out what looked like a missing fang.

Alvarez held his hand to his mouth and looked rather surprised, suggesting that he had just lost the chomper.

However, his later post on Instagram clarified that ‘everything’ was ‘in order’ and that it was ‘only’ blood.

In attack, City were far from toothless as they put six goals past the Cherries.

Alongside Silva’s double, Jeremy Doku, Manuel Akanji, Phil Foden, and Nathan Ake got in on the act.

The precise whereabouts of Alvarez’s tooth, perhaps still at large on the Etihad turf, is unknown.

It was a successful day at the office for Man City, who had five different scorers contribute

Bernardo Silva scored in both halves on an inspired afternoon against relegation-battlers

Jeremy Doku shone as a scorer and a provider, making the £55million invested in him look ever more wise

It was another stunning win for Pep Guardiola’s side who have scored 12 goals in their last three outings.

Erling Haaland could not add to his double against Manchester United but his team-mates ensured that goals came from all over the pitch.

City’s No 9 limped off after the break, having felt something in Illia Zibarnyi’s brave challenge on him.

The result elevates them above Tottenham at the top of the Premier League, although they could overtake Guardiola’s men with their game in hand.

Bournemouth remain outside the relegation zone after Burnley’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace but Luton Town could overtake them tomorrow when they host Liverpool.
