Before DailyMail.com broke the news today that Kanye – whose name was written simply as ‘Ye’ in his marriage documents – many had assumed that he and the Yeezy architect had married in a ceremony that was not legally binding.

Previous reports alleged that they had a private ceremony in Beverly Hills in January of this year without an official marriage license.

However, as it turns out, the duo had in fact married – legally – weeks before.

On the documents, their official date of marriage was recorded as December 20, 2022 – just one month after he finalized his divorce from first wife Kim Kardashian in November 2022.

Rumors swirled have about the artist and the then-mystery blonde – who is now confirmed to be his wife – and the nature of their relationship since they were first spotted.

According to document, the pair were wedded under a ‘confidential marriage’ license in California, meaning that it was not made public record.

As per their marriage license, the couple were married by California-based officiant James Mayfield, picking a secret location in Palo Alto, California, also known as Silicon Valley.

Mayfield boasts marriage ‘packages’ starting at $385 that do not require a courthouse ceremony. It also states on his website that a confidential marriage license does not require any witnesses to be present.

One in five marriages in California are now officially classified as ‘confidential’ and do not appear in public records, but it is a binding legal marriage that would require a divorce if the union were to end.

A close friend of the couple said the couple chose to keep their marriage confidential for privacy reasons.

‘Ye has been a megastar for two decades and counting, and his first marriage was to someone who lives almost full time in front of a camera,’ they explained.

‘Bianca and Ye have a totally different vibe. They are very private, very affectionate and totally devoted to each other. I think they both enjoy carving out time that’s just for them.’

It’s unknown exactly how long the loved-up couple had been romantic with one another before making it official, with Bianca joining Kanye’s Yeezy company in November 2020.

The father-of-four had hired Bianca as an architectural designer at Yeezy in 2020, a year before his marriage with Kim ended.
