This isn’t the first time the tennis champ has broken the internet in a bikini. In 2009, the Michigan resident covered rolling out magazine in a hot pink bikini, cute curly coif and pink pout.

On Saturday, July 11, Williams won her 21st major competition. And even with William’s making tennis history, the main subject of women’s tennis media in the days following was not Williams’ victory. Instead, newspapers, broadcasters and social media focused on Williams’ appearance, especially her muscles and the shape of her body.

On social media, author J.K. Rowling praised Serena Williams’ victory, tweeting, “What a woman!” Another Twitter user from Manchester, England called it “ironic.” Adding that Williams was only successful because “she is built like a man.”

Rowling answered with pictures of Serena in a dress and high heels. She tweeted, “Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You’re an idiot.”
