Sam And Dante Worry Drew Won’t Be Safe On The Outside

General Hospital spoilers tease everyone is thrilled to see Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) released from prison and able to carry on with his life, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t concerns that come in tow with his newfound freedom. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is happy to have Drew home to be with their daughter, but she is also worried that there may be bigger threats to his safety now on the outside of the prison walls than there were when he was locked up.

When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) echoes her concerns, Drew may take them somewhat more seriously. But it will be Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who hammers that point home.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cyrus Renault Was No Ally

Cyrus just can’t stop reminding people that he came to Drew’s aid following his attack in Pentonville, and that’s not going to stop anytime soon. As he continues to paint himself as an ally to Drew, it will become clear that he is anything but.

Furthermore, Cyrus may come to expect some kind of repayment from Drew for allegedly saving his life by stumbling up on him bruised and beaten in the prison showers.

Was it all a set-up from the start though? Did Cyrus facilitate the attack on Drew just so he could paint himself as the savior? It sure seems like it!

GH Spoilers – Say Drew Cain Appreciates the Concern

When Dante and Sam share their concern with Drew, he’s going to be touched, but he’s self-aware enough to know that he isn’t out of harm’s way just because he’s out of prison.

He knows Cyrus was released and he never trusted the guy to begin with. Cyrus’ inclination to rattle him by stopping by his hospital room was further evidence of that.

Drew certainly doesn’t understand the depths to which the collusion with the warden and judges might stem, nor that his release from prison could have had something to do with the fact that Cyrus wanted him out from behind bars where he would be able to reach him.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Can’t Save Him

Sonny isn’t going to have any better luck at keeping Drew safe outside of prison than he did when he was on the inside.

His reach only extends so far and Drew isn’t going to hide from invisible threats. He’s ready to get on with his life. But that won’t stop Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) from asking her ex to do whatever he can to keep an eye out for Drew and not let any harm come to him.
