Erling Haaland Takes Charge: Shocking Move as Chelsea’s Rising Star Cole Palmer Gets Pushed Out of Man City’s Huddle in Eight-Goal Thriller at Stamford Bridge

Erling Haaland was seen pushing former team-mate Cole Palmer after the latter cheekily tried listening in to a Manchester City team-talk.

The former team-mates met on the pitch during City’s trip to Chelsea, where the two English giants played out a thrilling 4-4 draw – with Palmer notching a late penalty.

It was Palmer’s first appearance against City since securing a move away from the Treble winners in favour of West London during the summer transfer window.

And, aside from his penalty, Palmer reminded his City team-mates of his ways after attempting to listen in to a team talk in the final moments of the game.

In the 97th minute, City’s players could be seen gathering to discuss the last routine of the match – with just one minute remaining of added time.

Erling Haaland quickly pushed his former team-mate away from the Manchester City huddle

As they did so, Palmer strolled over and jokingly stood behind Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias to listen in to what Jack Grealish had to say.

Haaland, who bagged a brace on the night, quickly noticed Palmer’s antics and rushed over to push him away from the group.

Despite the intense affair, it all seemed in good spirits as Haaland smiled as he ushered his former team-mate away from the City crowd.

In the end, it made little difference as the final minute was played and the two sides eventually ended up taking a point each from the Premier League affair.

Elsewhere, some supporters were left unimpressed after Palmer was booked against Manchester City for interfering with the penalty spot.

Haaland was awarded a penalty midway through the first half after being hauled to the ground in a tussle with Chelsea defender Cucurella.

Referee Anthony Taylor awarded the spot-kick and then booked Palmer after he was caught trying to scuff up the penalty spot in the box.

The schoolboy tactic is largely commonplace in football and Palmer is one of the latest stars to get caught in the act after Man United Alejandro Garnacho recently did the same.

Garnacho was labelled as a ‘clown’ by Copenhagen defender Denis Vavro for doing the same in United’s midweek Champions League defeat against the Danish side.

Palmer stepped up from the spot to level terms during added time, earning Chelsea a 4-4 draw

The 21-year-old star now has four goals and two assists in the league since moving to Chelsea

The points were shared after the clash at Stamford Bridge, with neither side able to stamp their authority on the eight-goal thriller.

City took the lead through a controversial Haaland penalty before Chelsea fired back with Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling.

Manuel Akanji levelled things for the visitors just before half-time, before Haaland restored their lead just after the break.

Nicolas Jackson eventually got the hosts level once again before Rodri and Palmer both struck to bring the score to 4-4 on Sunday night.
